However, AI is actually just a software program that independently teaches itself problem-solving skills or how to recognize patterns and structures; this is why the system is called intelligent. For this ability, the software needs a lot of data which it is trained with. The quality of this data largely determines the usefulness of AI. For the use and implementation of artificial intelligence, it is therefore important not only to select the right algorithms, but also to provide the necessary data for them.
AI should complement us, but not replace us
Artificial intelligence supports us in recognizing and analyzing patterns or in predicting them. In business practice, it is important to know the strengths and weaknesses of the systems in order to best evaluate the benefits in the company. Our goal is to design AI-human systems in which both actors support and complement each other.
The development and exploitation of new business models, service offerings or the mobilization of resources through outsourcing and automation are among the opportunities offered by AI. The clearer the expectations and objectives, the more likely it is that this technology of the future will be used successfully and to generate profits.
